Wedlake Bell adds Planning Partner to Commercial Property team
Wedlake Bell has boosted its Commercial Property team with the appointment of Jay Das as a
partner specialising in town and country planning.
Das joins Wedlake Bell from Matthew Arnold & Baldwin, where she was a partner. Previously
she was an associate at Beachcroft LLP.
Das has a well-recognised track record in acting on high court challenges, planning inquiries
and enforcement appeals for public and private sector clients. She also specialises in compulsory
purchase orders, in environmental matters including the development of contaminated land, and
environmental indemnities and warranties on corporate transactions.
Das has advised on a number of high-profile projects including the Shard of Glass and Thameslink
2000 Planning Inquiry, a major hotel scheme near Heathrow Airport, the redevelopment of University
College London Hospital and a motorway redevelopment proposal on the M42.
